It is our first Steam & Romans of 2012 on Wednesday, so if you have always wanted to discover the rich history of the Eskdale Valley, now is the time!
Visitors to the Railway may not realise the extensive Roman history of the area but with the Steam & Romans event they are given the opportunity to combine a picturesque steam journey through the spectacular Eskdale Valley with a tour of local landmarks steeped in rich history and heritage with an expert guide on hand!
Tickets are available to purchase on the here for £23.50 and include a return steam journey, mini-bus transfers to local landmarks and a light soup & sandwich lunch. This event is not recommended for young children.
