What wonderful weather for a Wild Walk!

It seems that summer is well and truly on its way, so put on the suncream and shorts and come and explore the wild western lakes.
Here in Eskdale we have an abundance of Wildlife, from a wide array of birds at the Ravenglass estuary to our native Red Squirrels which hide in Miterdale Forest, so when you set off on a walk from the Railway, make sure you keep your eyes peeled and have your camera at the ready! We have a new walking book for sale at both of our Gift Shops for just £1.00, 'Favourite Walks from Dalegarth Station', and in case you are in need of further inspiration, make sure you visit our Walking page.
Wildzone is a relatively new project which aims to promote the fabulous wildlife, wild places and wild experiences that our beautiful county has to offer.
