Peppa Pig returns to the Railway for the second of two visits in 2017! Peppa Pig will be making personal appearances at 11.15am, 13.15pm & 15.15pm. Plus she’ll be appearing during Story Time sessions, led by a narrator, at 12.15pm & 14.15pm. Purchase a Ride All Day ticket and select your time of travel on one of our special trains to the activity marquee at Dalegarth (reserved seats are only provided for the journey to Dalegarth, not the return to Ravenglass). Here you can see Peppa Pig and enjoy some entertainment. There will be photos opportunities so don’t forget your camera! Time slots for tickets are: 9:25, 10:25, 10:45, 11:25, 11:45, 12:25, 12:45 or 13:25 Book your Ride All Day tickets online in advance to save. Online ticket prices are £15 adult, £7 child (3-15), free for children under 3. Tickets on the day will cost £16 adult, £8 children (3-15), under 3 free on the day. Ticket includes full line return (reserved seat on the way to Dalegarth ONLY), Peppa Pig Appearances, marquee activity and a half price family voucher to return in the 2018 season. Please note: Dogs are not allowed at this event and a buggy park will be available at Ravenglass. Return seating is allocated on a first come first serve basis, we will be running an enhanced timetable on both of these days.

Take the 'Ratty' steam train to Eskdale Green and walk back to the sea over Muncaster Fell with a National Park Ranger. Meet at 10.15 am to catch the 10.25 am train to The Green. Train fare applies, pay on arrival, reserve your place in advance as booking advised, £5 adult for the guided walk and children free. The team is back to take you on a behind the scenes photography treat. Meet at 8.30 Ravenglass Station for a tour around the workshops and a cup of tea in the Turntable Café, pick up your packed lunch, before embarking on the seven mile journey up the line to photograph passing engines en route. At Dalegarth enjoy some free time before heading back on the single line journey to your starting point at Ravenglass. Limited places, book in advance, £45 per person includes welcome tea/coffee, packed lunch (sandwich, crisps, piece of fruit and bottle of water), guided photography walk and single train journey back down the valley. Please note this event must be booked in advance as tickets are limited. This is an outdoor event and requires an average level of fitness (you will be walking seven miles on ballast). Please bring suitable clothing. Basic packed lunch is provided. Please advise of any dietary requirement. All participants must be aged 16 or over.

Take a trip up the Ravenglass & Eskdale railway in search of contemporary wildlife paintings, living in the landscape of the Eskdale valley. Artist Sarah Taylor is bringing her vibrant wildlife paintings on an adventure along the Eskdale valley, with paintings installed in a variety of locations along the Railway. Come along and see how many you can spot from the train. Back with more spooky tricks than ever in 2017 with two extra dates! Feeling brave? Travel the line in darkness and keep those eyes peeled for some of our fiendish friends! This event is very popular and must be booked in advance. Ticket includes all day travel and a reserved seat on the Ghost Train from Dalegarth. The Ghost Train steams out of Dalegarth Hollow at 6pm but please note that this is a one way journey only. Make sure you park in Ravenglass and allow time to catch the train up the valley. Activities at Dalegarth include facepainting and spooky arts & crafts. Tickets are £16 adult, £8 child (3-15), children under 3 are free. Ticket includes all day travel on the railway, a reserved seat on the Ghost Train from Dalegarth, activities at Dalegarth station and a spooky sweet goody bag when, or if, you return! Please note: dogs are not allowed at this event. This event is very popular and tickets must be booked in advance.
