Wakefield’s at Dalegarth Station
Our brand new, exclusive afternoon tea space has opened on the upper floor of Dalegarth station, creating a wonderful setting to relax after your journey through Eskdale. Wakefield’s is named in tribute to the Wakefield family, recognising the legacy of Sir Wavell Wakefield, whose descendants continue to operate the railway today.
Guests can pre-book their First Class Afternoon Tea and Steam Experience online to secure a table, or enquire on the day of travel (subject to availability).

1876 Ravenglass Station Café is located on platform 1 at Ravenglass station and provides tasty light meals, snacks and drinks that can be enjoyed on the go or in the café. We’ve recently refreshed our menu and can’t wait to welcome you.

Now open – Situated at the foot of England’s highest mountains, 1876 is our newly refurbished café located at Dalegarth station, serving a delicious range of lunches, snacks, hot and cold drinks, and of course, ice cream and sweet treats. It’s a great place to refuel.
