Food and Drink For Groups
We have three catering venues at the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, two onsite cafes at Ravenglass and Dalegarth for Boot stations and a traditional pub 'The Ratty Arms'. We can tailor group menus to suit your requirements and cater for a range of group sizes as part of a food and drink tour. Combined with a trip on the heritage steam railway, it the ultimate Western Lake District itinerary.
From soup and sandwich lunches, traditional cream teas, cream tea picnic boxes, speciality coffees and home baked cakes . We can cater for special requests and/or corporate functions including Christmas tours. Find out more about our food and drink offerings below.
Christmas Tours and Itineraries
NEW Christmas tours. Enjoy a festive treat in the Lake District onboard heritage steam trains. Our Christmas timetable operates from Boxing Day 26th December to 2nd January 2025. Pre-book festive lunches at The Ratty Arms, mulled wine and mine pie in the Turntable cafe or enjoy a mince pie onboard one of our ‘Winter Warmer’ festive steam trains.

We recommend groups to reserve tours as soon as possible, we need final confirmation of numbers within two weeks of travel date. Special rates for series tours and FIT vouchers available. School Trips
We offer educational tours and activities for groups in conjunction with the Ravenglass Railway Museum. The Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway is the perfect place to visit for an educational experience in the Lake District, with a selection of materials for levels key stage 1-3 and above.
Group rates and terms apply. One teacher travels FREE with every four paying pupils.
