As part of your fare, you can enjoy a few extras on us, children's outdoor play areas at both main stations, access to a variety of walking routes to suit all ages, steam train photo opportunities, and a visit to the Ravenglass Railway Museum (free entry, donations welcome) to find out more about 'our story'.
Our intermediate stations are now open but please note, they are request stops. However, the train will only stop if there is space on board. It is not possible to book tickets to or from these stations in advance but tickets can be bought from the guard using cash. Please observe station signage.
A single journey on the railway line takes approximately 40 minutes. We accept dogs, bicycles, and wheelchairs on our trains but please read below for further information. Please note that dogs are not permitted on trains at our special events.

Upgrade Options
For just a small fee, you can upgrade your fare for First Class tickets or take a special trip in our Pullman Observation Carriage 'Joan', with panoramic views. Directors' Saloon 'Ruth' compartments are available to hire for single and return journeys (maximum 4 seats inside & 2 outside).

Joint Ticket with Ullswater 'Steamers'
We're delighted to announce the return of our joint ticket with our sister attraction Ullswater 'Steamers'. Simply select the 'Joint Attraction Ticket' option under 'Travellers' when purchasing a ticket with us and present your railway ticket at one of the Ullswater 'Steamer' Piers! Online offer only. Please note payment is taken in full at the time of booking on the Railway website. These Lake District days out do not have to be taken in the same day.

Local Resident Passes
Please note residents passes may take up to 10 days to process.
Apply for a local resident's pass, or renew your current pass and you can enjoy:
- 50% off fares in the shoulder season (1st Feb - 31st May and 1st October - 2nd January)
- 25% off fares in peak season (1st June - 30th September)
Discounts exclude experiences and first class upgrades.
The residents pass is only available for customers living in postcodes beginning with LA or CA.
