Enjoy a festive treat in the Western Lake District from Boxing Day through to New Year's Day 2025 onboard scheduled heritage steam and diesel trains by planning a trip to the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway to experience the wonder of winter in Eskdale. With the excitement of the big day over, our Winter Warmer Trains are a great way to get the whole family out of the house. Our stations and trains will still be adorned with Christmas decorations to add a little sparkle to your visit, and there are scenic walks at both ends of the line for that all-important fresh air!
Enjoy the festive train ride and a mince pie with each full-line return ticket. Tickets can be booked online or purchased on the day, subject to availability. Our cafes, gift shops and the Railway Museum will also be open whilst trains are running. The Ratty Arms pub in Ravenglass is open daily too.
