Lake District Estates two heritage attractions Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway and Ullswater ‘Steamers’ have both been shortlisted for a major national tourism award; one of the tourism sectors most prestigious for group travel.
Now in its 15th year, the British Coach Tourism Awards (BCTAs) will announce the winners of 19 different categories on March 20 at a ceremony at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham.
The sister attractions have been chosen on their commitment to welcoming coaches, coach groups and coach drivers and for creating new experiences tailored for groups.
Rachel Bell, Head of Marketing & Development Director of Lake District Estates, comments on the nomination, “We are thrilled that both our heritage visitor attractions have been shortlisted for the prestigious British Coach Tourism Awards. It is testimony to the continued investment in our heritage attractions by the Board, the dedication of our employees and focus to continually improve, enhance and update our product offering for todays and tomorrows consumer.”
A panel of industry experts make up the judging panel at the ceremony, organised by the team behind the British Tourism & Travel Show.
